Built by people who live under this roof too.
Klieden started as three people frustrated with how badly most terrace additions in Bengaluru were built — and grew into a small team that still measures every roof by hand before we draw anything.
A roof problem, not a business plan
In 2018, our founder was getting three different quotes for a terrace sit-out at his own house — and getting three completely different explanations of why the last two "waterproofed" terraces in his street still leaked every June. Nobody could explain the actual roofing logic in plain language, and every quote changed after work had already started.
Klieden began as an attempt to fix that specific problem for one street in Byatarayanapura. Word moved faster than we expected, mostly because people were relieved to deal with someone who explained the "why" before the "how much."
Eight years on, that's still the whole pitch. We're a small, direct team — no call-center layer between you and the people actually measuring your roof.
Four things we won't compromise on
The quote doesn't move
What we say at the site visit is what you pay at handover. If we got something wrong in our own estimate, that's our cost to absorb, not yours.
One team, start to finish
The person who designs your terrace is reachable through construction and after. We don't hand you off to a different crew halfway through.
Monsoon first, always
Waterproofing and drainage get decided before the roofing material does — not bolted on at the end because someone remembered the rain.
Small budgets, same care
A ₹1.5L open sit-out gets the same site supervision and materials scrutiny as a ₹15L enclosed room. We've turned down shortcuts on both.
Eight years, roughly
- 2018
First terrace, one street
Byatarayanapura — a single sit-out for a neighbour, built to fix a monsoon leak nobody else had solved.
- 2020
First in-house site crew
Stopped subcontracting construction so the people who designed a terrace were accountable for how it was actually built.
- 2022
100th terrace room
Crossed into Whitefield, Koramangala and HSR Layout mostly through word of mouth between existing clients.
- 2026
Home elevators, next
Extending into compact home lifts — the same idea as terrace rooms: making the house you already own easier to live in.
The people behind the quote
Come see what we mean, on your own roof.
No obligation, no charge for the visit — just an honest look at what's possible and what it would actually cost.
